If you turn off the air pump, the hot heat plate will close and press down onto the lower plate, which would burn the cotton pad.
Keep the air pump on for about 20-30 minutes after finishing the transfer process.

Regular cleaning of the plates or sublimation surfaces.
Replacement of protective sheets or coatings.
Verification and adjustment of the pressure.
Inspection and cleaning of the internal components.
Verification and calibration of the temperature.
